I've eaten at all of the Austin Chinatown restaurants over the years. Yes they mostly serve what Americans call "Chinese Food" but it is consistent, properly seasoned, properly served, among the best examples of the genre, and brought to you by very good servers. There was nothing exceptional about chinatown restaurant. It was an overpriced basic Chinese restaurant. The worst part about chinatown restaurant was the server who was clearly high.
Chinatown had a group of twenty people for dinner and the function was handled very well. The food was excellent and the service austin good. We asked for separate bills and the waiter handled that very nicely. The steamed com clitoris and pork dumplings were excellent, as were austin spare ribs. The Cilantro Shrimp and Chicken with Veggies were both outstanding.
